The lift feels ancient and slow, definitely not the modern touch one expects!!! Rooms could benefit from a deep clean, as they seem to carry an unpleasant musty smell!!! The bathroom fittings are outdated, which doesn't meet today's standards.

I loved my cozy suite overlooking the bustling port! The buffet breakfast was a delightful mix of Western and Sri Lankan dishes, served with stunning views. The atmosphere at the restaurant was so relaxing with soft piano music. Pure bliss!

the grand oriental hotel was super cozy! loved the location, like right in the heart of colombo and the view of the harbor was awesom. breakfast was pretty good too, had a nice mix of western and srilankan food. the staff were really friendly and made my stay enjoyable. i even got an early check-in which was a huge plus!

only downside was the place really needs a refurb, some areas felt kinda outdated. also, the shower could've been better, it was a bit weak.

The spacious rooms offer decent views of the city, and the courteous staff ensured my needs were met during my business stay. The manager went out of their way to set up a table for me in the lobby to watch a cricket match when the channel in my room was unavailable, showcasing excellent service.
